Roles and permissions
Control what staff can do with roles and scoped permissions.
Roles and Permissions is where you control what staff can do. Beyond the broad administrator and moderator roles, EasyClass supports granular permissions granted at a specific scope.
Permission scopes
Permissions can be granted at any of these scopes:
global, program, cohort, class, course, lecture, exam, event, owner
This means you can, for example, make someone a moderator for a single cohort without giving them access to anything else.
Working with roles
- Define roles as bundles of permissions.
- Assign roles to staff.
- Scope a role's permissions to the specific programs, cohorts or classes it applies to.
