Build reusable course templates that classes are created from.
The Course Catalog holds your reusable course templates. A template is defined once and then instantiated as a taught course inside a class.
What a course template includes
- Name and code
- Overview (description)
- Cover image and color
- Tags for organizing and finding courses
Creating a template
Add a course
Go to Academic → Course Catalog and select New.
Fill in the details
Add the name, code, overview, cover, color and tags.
Use it in classes
The template is now available to add to classes and programs.
Template vs taught course
Editing a catalog template does not retroactively change courses already running in classes. Templates are the starting point; each class holds its own taught copy.
