The Courses section manages the taught courses running inside your classes. A taught course is a live copy of a Course Catalog template.
Course template vs taught course
The Course Catalog holds reusable templates. A taught course is an instance of a template inside a specific class. This Courses section is about the taught instance. See Key concepts.
Inside a taught course
Open a course to work with its tabs:
- Overview: summary and settings.
- Lectures: scheduled sessions, with a calendar view.
- Exams and Assignments: assessment.
- Announcements: course-specific updates.
- Resources: materials for students.
- Gradebook: grades for this course.
- Forum: the course discussion space.
- Students and Instructors: who is enrolled and who teaches.
Attendance can be tracked per session.
